DOOR SECURITY IN BUILDINGS
Door security can be used inside and outside. There are various options for implementing door security. Access to a building can be obtained with a pass, key fob or badge, with a special key, via smartphone or with biometric data, such as a fingerprint or an eye scan.
Remotely opening doors is also a possibility, this is called ‘proximity door security’. Depending on the security level, the usage frequency and the complexity of the door security, wired or wireless (offline) door security. Offline door security is not linked to a central system.
Access control in a building is possible by installing access gates or turnstiles. This solution makes controlled access to a building possible. This type of access control can often be found at the reception, which then gives access to the rest of the building. The access gates are opened with an access pass or key fob. The access solution can consist of, for example, access gates, tripod security barrier or high turnstile for outside security.
With this locking system, controlled access is granted to a space via the cylinder. The locking system can be combined with a smart security system to program different access levels. Access can be obtained with a pass, key fob, smartphone or biometric characteristics.
If desired, an access control solution can be supplemented with security cameras. For example, with an intercom system for door management, it is an added advantage to see who is before the gate. The security cameras can also be used when someone still manages to gain unauthorized access to a building.
THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVANTAGES OF ACCESS CONTROL
Installing a total solution for access control comes with a number of advantages:
- you protect your employees, visitors and property against unwanted visitors;
- in case of emergency situations, you always know which persons are present in the building;
- an access control solution can also be used for time registration;
- access levels for specific spaces can be set;
- user-friendly and flexible solution for granting access;
- locks do not have to be replaced anymore in case of loss or dismissal.
MANAGE ACCESS CONTROL IN THE CLOUD
What is more practical and simpler than manage everything about your access control solution from one central location? Before, expensive, local servers were required per location, but now everything is managed centrally from the cloud. With the safe and secure Cloud Security Platform of our partner Brivo, you always have access to your access control management. The management of your access control solution is executed centrally and no longer on location, per physical building. Integrating this solution makes it easy to scale up by the ‘pay per use’ model, which also keeps costs in control. You simply manage multiple locations from one central system.
It is also possible to integrate the system automatically with, for example, HR systems. With this system, you can automatically make sure that an employee after termination does no longer have access to the building. Also, no extra hardware is required to grant access. With this solution, you can grant persons access to the facility with a mobile app, which makes issuing of passes and key fobs a thing of the past.
